I was in Bangkok when the downtown business district was still dry and the Rangers imploded early in the morning here in the City.  As many of you may know the city is under a bit of water now.  As I walked around town there was an stange calm before the storm.  There was no water in any of the 7-11’s and walls were being built in front of the shops.  I however never saw a drop of water and actually flew standby to Chiang Mai. (my current location)

I asked the hotel concierge to recommend a close local Thai restaurant.  I walked 3 blocks to Cabbages and Condoms.  The restaurant’s owner is a big supporter of safe sex and birth control.  As of today there are now 7 billion people on this planet.  The populations of Asia, China and India are still skyrocketing.

The food was great and yes, the figures standing behind me are all made of condoms.  I just hope they were all new and not used.  The bill came to about $6.00 complete with a complimentary condom.  What a deal!
