I have begun my 6th trip to Asia with Julia Tindall, the yoga instructor from California. I left Dallas Friday evening and arrived in Cebu City, Philippines Sunday night. (you loose a day going over)
The flight was 14 hours from LA to Hong Kong leaving about 1:00AM. I was completely spoiled on the flight over dinning, drinking great wine, and watching movies in my own personal Suite.( complete with fresh flowers) First course was caviar and smoked salmon accompanied with a personal card from the flight crew. The soft flannel pajamas were and extra touch of comfort. The First class lavatory even has a sit on top porcelain sink. Nice touch. It was obvious I was not flying American Airlines.
After arriving in Hong Kong I went strait to the Cathay Pacific First Class lounge. They have private Cabanas you can hang out and relax in while you wait for your next flight. Sweeeeeet!!!!! WAIT is the operative word here in being an 8 hour layover. The photo in with the dark wood was in the second First Class lounge I went to across from my gate. There they had personal retreat rooms with room service and a wake-up call to catch your flight.
